"If you allow that line there, and you let me follow it, please let it take me somewhere."

David duChemin, Author and World Photographer

Leading Lines are the subject of this weeks theme and are used in compositions to lead the viewer to a specific area of interest within the frame. In the case of pet photography our area of interest is, you guessed it, the pet!

Here are a few different perspectives using leading lines with our leading man, Bruiser, as we took a photo walk in & around our neighbourhood.

Now, follow me as we check out more leading line compositions with Rochelle from Dark Sapphire Pet Photography, Nelson, New Zealand

Until next week,

Just lovely photos! Hard to choose a favorite, but I think it would be number two. Again, Bruiser is so adorable, and the name reminds me of the Chi in Legally Blonde. The fences are awesome lines!

OMG I love those fence pictures. The property looks so peaceful.

I love the photographs with the fence lines - beautiful implementation of leading lines. I am a softy for the closeups on dog faces - so I also love the last one where the dog is between the tree branches.
Beautiful use of leading lines.
